Kaiu is a free, independent mortgage review tool for Canadian homeowners. We are not a mortgage lender, broker, or advisor, and we do not sell products or earn referral commissions. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you enter.
The mortgage details you enter are never saved or sent anywhere
The Mortgage Review and calculators run entirely in your browser. Your balance, rate, property value, renewal date, and every other figure you type stays on your device for the duration of your session and is used only to calculate the results shown to you. Nothing is transmitted to Kaiu's servers, stored in a database, or shared with any lender, broker, or third party. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything.
What we do collect
Like most websites, we may collect basic, non-identifying technical data (such as aggregate page views) to understand how the site is used and to keep it running reliably. This data is not tied to the mortgage figures you enter and is never used to identify you personally.
No accounts, no marketing
Kaiu does not require you to create an account or provide an email address, phone number, or any contact information to use the review tool or calculators. We do not send marketing communications because we do not collect the contact details needed to send them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
